Tuesday, March 5th, 2024

Hello, lovely couples-to-be and fellow wedding enthusiasts!

My name is Jessica Helen, and I’m thrilled to share with you some top tips for organizing entertainment for your special day. As a multi-award-winning wedding singer, including being honored as a National Award Winner in 2023, I’ve had the pleasure of performing at countless weddings and witnessing firsthand the impact that carefully curated entertainment can have on creating unforgettable memories. Not only this I’m also planning my own wedding for 2025!

So, without further ado, let’s dive into some expert advice:

Start Early: When it comes to booking entertainment for your wedding day, early planning is key. Popular performers, bands, and DJs often have their schedules filled months or even years in advance, especially during peak wedding seasons. So, as soon as you have your wedding date and venue secured, start researching and reaching out to potential entertainers to ensure you have your top choice available. It took me 3 months to book my evening entertainment due to how busy their schedules were they only do admin on certain days so keep this in mind, they were also booked 2 years in advance!

Personalize Your Playlist: Your wedding day should reflect your unique love story and personalities, and your music choices are no exception. Work closely with your chosen entertainer to create a playlist that speaks to you as a couple. Whether it’s your favorite love ballads, songs that hold sentimental value, or upbeat tracks to get the party started, make sure your playlist reflects the mood and vibe you want to create on your special day.A top tip I found not only with myself but my couples is to sit down with your partner with Spotify open and a notebook and just note every song you like, your entertainer can then get a good idea of the genres you like.

Consider Your Venue: Take into account the size and layout of your venue when planning your entertainment. For intimate indoor ceremonies, a solo singer or acoustic guitarist might be the perfect choice, while larger outdoor receptions may call for a live band or DJ with a full sound system. Discuss logistical details with your venue coordinator and entertainer to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day of the event.

Communicate Your Vision: Clear communication is essential when working with your chosen entertainer. Be sure to articulate your vision, preferences, and any special requests you may have well in advance. Whether it’s a specific song for your first dance or a surprise performance for your partner, open dialogue will help ensure that your entertainment aligns perfectly with your expectations. Remember if you have questions we are all human, send your entertainer a message asking and they will be happy to help!

Trust the Professionals: As a multi-award-winning wedding singer, I can’t stress this tip enough: trust the professionals. Choose entertainers who have a proven track record of delivering exceptional performances and who understand the ins and outs of weddings. By entrusting your entertainment to experienced professionals, you can relax and enjoy your day knowing that you’re in capable hands.

Have Fun!: Last but certainly not least, remember to have fun! Your wedding day is a celebration of love, joy, and new beginnings, so don’t forget to let loose, hit the dance floor, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

I hope these top tips help guide you in organizing the entertainment for your wedding day. Remember, your choice of entertainment sets the tone for the entire celebration, so take the time to plan thoughtfully and select options that resonate with you as a couple. And if you’re still searching for the perfect wedding singer, I’d be honored to help bring your musical vision to life!
