Planning your wedding involves many details, and it’s natural to have questions about your chosen venue. At The Oak Tree of Peover, we’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions to assist you in your planning process. Here are some key points to consider:

Venue Capacity

Understanding the number of guests our venue can accommodate is crucial for your planning. Our spaces are designed to host both intimate gatherings and larger celebrations. Our maximum seated capacity is 110, and our maximum evening standing capacity is 180.

Catering Options

We offer flexible catering options to suit your preferences. We work with a large team of approved caterers here at The Oak Tree, and they all offer something unique. Whether you’re interested in your typical ‘3-course’ dining experience, or something more laid back, like a buffet or a BBQ, our catering teams will most definitely be able accommodate your needs. Is cutlery, crockery & linen included in the price?

Your caterers will include all cutlery, crockery and table linen. The venue provides glassware for your drink’s reception and wedding breakfast drinks.

Accommodation

While The Oak Tree of Peover does not provide on-site accommodation, there are several nearby hotels and inns that we can recommend for you and your guests. Our Brochure includes a list of local accommodations in the area, and there is something for everyone, and every budget.

Are there areas for both of us to get ready in the morning?

There is a room upstairs named our ‘Loft’ that provides plenty of space for one side of the wedding party to get ready. We also have a room on the ground floor named ‘The Den’ which provides another space for the other half of the bridal party. Both have comfortable seating, several large mirrors, and plenty of plug sockets and both rooms can be accessed from 10am on the morning of your wedding.

Ceremony and Reception Locations

Our venue offers beautiful spaces for both your ceremony and reception. You can choose to have both events on-site, utilizing our versatile indoor and outdoor areas. We are fully licensed in our ‘Ladybird room’, ‘Acorn room’ and our ‘Outdoor Pavillion’. More information about our ceremony and reception options can be found on our website.

Booking and Payment

You can provisionally hold one date for 7 days. This safeguards your date without any obligation and gives you some time to contact the Registrars or Church. 

When you wish to secure your date, payment can be made via credit/debit card or bank transfer. If you do not wish to keep your date, please let us know so we can release the date for other couples.

Do we have to use your recommended suppliers?

The only suppliers we ask you to use are our approved caterers. Any other suppliers, such as photographers, bands or DJ’s, florists or venue dressers etc. are completely your choice, however we do provide an extensive list of suppliers we work well with in our brochure.

Who will be our point of contact in the lead up to the wedding?

As a small team of 3 coordinators, you will most likely have contact with all of us at some point throughout your planning, however, when it is time for your final meeting, (approx. 2/3 months before your day) you will be assigned a designated coordinator. They will then be in regular contact on the run up to your day and will be there on the day to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Do you have disabled access?

The venue is all on one level and there are no steps or slopes for ease of access for disabled guests. We also have a disabled toilet. Please note: the Loft Prep room is upstairs.

Can we plug a phone or tablet into the music system?

We can connect your phone or tablet to our music system via Bluetooth or AUX cable. Many couples create the perfect playlists for their wedding day using Spotify or Apple Music and our wedding team will ensure your chosen songs are played throughout the day.
