Q. Can anyone enter the North West Wedding Awards?

A. Yes, has long as you are based in the North West and your business is wedding related.

Q. How do you get nominated?

A. It's simple! Just ask your brides and grooms to vote for you.

Q. Can customers vote?

A. If your business does not deal with brides or grooms directly, then yes, as long as the details match the wedding date.

Q. How far back can a business go for a vote?

A. Couples can vote in the awards if their wedding took/takes place between 1st September 2019 up to the closing date 30th April 2024.

Q. How are we notified if we get nominated?

A. We send the official logo via direct message on your Facebook page or email you with the good news.

Q. Do you have to be a customer of County Brides to enter the awards?

A. No.

Q. Do you have to attend the awards evening?

A. No you don't have to attend the awards.

Q. How does the voting work?

A. Votes are counted and verified, the star ratings and comments are taken into consideration by independent judges.

Q. Do we contact people who have voted?

A. Yes, we send an automated email to say thank you for voting and we will also call them to check that votes are genuine.

Q. What happens if you try and cheat?

A. Simple, the company will be withdrawn from the awards as we have numerous ways on verifying votes.

Q. How do you know you have become a finalist?

A. Via social media or by email.

Q. How do I buy tickets for the North West Wedding Awards Gala Dinner?

A. Online via our website. We will notify you mid-May if you have become a finalist and when tickets are available, then remaining tickets will go on sale in June.

Q. Can anyone attend the event?

A. Yes.

Q. Do brides & grooms attend?

A. Not usually, unless they are guest of a company who is attending.

Q. What happens at the event?

A. It is a black tie event, a drinks reception followed by a 3 course meal plus coffee, awards ceremony, charity auction & raffle along with other entertainment and then you can dance the night away with live entertainment and a DJ!

Q. What do the badges mean to brides & grooms?

A. It gives future couples confidence in booking a company or business that has been recognised by customers.

Q. When does the voting start & finish?

A. The voting officially opens on the 1st September and ends on the 30th April the following year.

Q. Can you buy photographs & video footage from the event?

A. Yes, usually a week later the photographs are available from the official photographer’s website for a small fee, part of the money is donated to the charity, this is the same for the video.

Q. Do companies get anything else apart from an award?

A. Yes, they will have their badge of course and the winners & finalists will receive a certificate for display.

Q. Do we re-contact customers from companies and businesses?

A. Only to check votes are genuine, we do not send them any other information.

Q. Do you sell or use the data you collect from the votes?

A. No.
