Get your business nominated for an award

Any business within the wedding industry can be nominated for an award at the North West Wedding Awards. The business needs to ask engaged couples to vote for them once they are married. How this is done is entirely up to each business – you can promote on your website, through your social media or whatever works best for you. County Brides can supply a badge for your website which promotes that you want to be nominated and it will have a link for brides to click that directs them to the voting page. We cannot make it any easier for you!

Business of the Year

The highest accolade to be presented on the evening was the Business of the year, John Norcott from Ntertain scooped the award in 2014. To be considered for this award your business needs to be established within the wedding industry and also within the County Brides community. The criteria for winning includes, business management, utilisation of marketing avenues, business conduct and visual presence within the industry.

Recently married couples have the opportunity to nominate their favourite supplier through a simple voting process. All they need to do is visit this page and vote below.

Employee of the Year

Recognition for employees sometimes gets overlooked and it is these individuals that we want to acknowledge. This is a new award this year and County Brides would like you to take a moment to think about recognising a rising a star that you may have within your company. Nominations can be made for their customer service skills, their dedication and commitment or for enhancing your business beyond the expectation.


New Business Award

This is a new category this year and County Brides want to recognise upcoming businesses within the wedding industry. Any business registered since June 2013 qualifies to be entered for an award in this category. To receive one of these prestigious awards at the start of any business will be a huge boost and will help with future marketing and it can also enhance your presence within the wedding industry.


Judging criteria

Each category must obtain votes for a minimum of four different companies, without this level the category becomes untenable. Therefore County Brides reserve the right to withdraw a category from the awards process if it fails to meet with the criteria above. All the nominations within any such category will still be recognised with a special mention at the awards ceremony in June 2015.

County Brides will create a new award category for any given category choice if it exceeds more than four different company votes. For example the category Entertainment (none musical) consists of Photo booths, magicians, casino’s and creches. If the photo booth category gets more than four entries for individual companies then it will in turn be given its own award.


Thanks for Attending!

The annual North West Wedding Awards 2014 was another excellent event for County Brides. The Great British theme proved to be a huge success and the 250 guests in attendance had a ball. The evening at Heaton House Farm was filled with music, entertainment, a raffle and auction along with fabulous food and the highly acclaimed awards ceremony.

County Brides have supported the North West Air Ambulance in 2014 and raised in excess of £3,000 at the event. Thanks go to the brides for voting for their favourite suppliers, the many event sponsors and to all those within the wedding industry who supported the event by attending on the evening.
